Many kids in rural Kenya may never experience the essence of life, which is taken for granted by many kids around the western world; who have never known the meaning of lack and/or poverty. "Every one of us gets through the tough times because somebody is there, standing in the gap to close it for us." (Oprah Winfrey, O Magazine.)

Through the TLSI resource center, we hope to bridge the gap between the poor & the rich children in our community, by providing the following to our underprivileged kids;

• A safe place for them to meet with other kids for study & fun on the weekends (a mini library)
• A place where they can borrow books for school work and reading exercises.
• A place where AIDS affected kids can find encouragement material to restore hope in them.
• A place where they can come to for their regular school supplies - pens, exercise books, erasers, pencils, pencil sharpeners, coloring material, etc.
• A place where they can find supplies for their every day basic needs, (e.g.) feminine supplies, bathing soap, lotion, tooth paste, tooth brushes, etc."

All this is possible, but our success largely depends on financial & item donations from the public.
